WHAT ARE NEUROMODULATOR INJECTIONS AND HOW DO THEY WORK?
Botox is a neuromodulator that is prescribed to treat and prevent fine lines, wrinkles, and deep facial furrows.
As we age, repeated muscle movements result in the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses causing the muscles to relax and soften these lines.
WHERE IS BOTOX USED?
Common areas that we treat with neuromodulator Botox injections include:
-
Forehead
-
Crow’s feet
-
Glabella (between the eyebrows)
-
Gummy smile adjustments
-
Eyebrow lifts
-
Lip flips
We also use neuromodulator injections to treat TMJ (pain associated with teeth grinding and clenching), migraines, and hyperhidrosis.
Our goal is to tailor your Botox cosmetic treatment to your personal goals. Botox injections are completely non-surgical and cause minimal discomfort. Your practitioner may adjust the number of units injected to give you the absolute best results.

How long does Botox last and how often should I receive neuromodulator injections?
The effects of Botox last from 3-4 months. We recommend re-treating the area before the neuromodulator injection wears out completely.
